Description
USB client station adapter is an 802.11b device
that provides wireless connectivity to USB enabled
computers. It features a built-in RF adapter cable
that enables connection to an external antenna and
amplifier. (Professional installation required.)
The USB adapter uses a Wi-Fi™ compatible WLAN
card and will communicate with any Wi-Fi™
Access Point as well as with older 2Mbps DSSS APs.
It is ideal for use at Wireless Internet client
sites. Thru-put data rated up to four Mbps is
possible with this high-speed device. The Diamond
USB adapter supports the full privacy 128-bit WEP
encryption.
The USB Client Station Adapter is part of the Go
Wireless Line of products. The best feature is the
simplicity of installation. The adapter gets its
power from the USB port so no external power supply
is required. There is also no need to open up a
client's computer since it plugs directly into the
client's USB port. Just install the antenna
outdoors where it has line-of-site to the WIPOP
(Wireless Internet Point of Presence), and you have
Internet access.
