Obama and the 20 dollar myth!

Hey, I talked to our accounting dept and found that YES, our employees are seeing $20 more per week.

We're not paying them $20 more a week, same with your employer.

You're not making another $20 a week either!!!!

What is happening is Obama changed the tax rate such that you pay $80 less per month into your federal withholding.

In other words, you are gonna pay about $1000 less into your federal withholding over the course of this year.

IN OTHER WORDS... that "overpayment" that all you tax return people get, IT WILL NO LONGER BE THERE!!! In many cases some people will end up OWING TAXES at the end of the year.

What you are getting is your own money that you would otherwise pay in taxes. Its not a gain. In a lot of cases its gonna end up being a loss.

Obama's created something out of nothing, or in reality, NOTHING OUT OF NOTHING!!!

BRILLIANT!!!! FUCKING BRILLIANT.

So next tax year, imagine the surprise on all these Obama worshipers faces when that tax return disappears and most end up PAYING TAXES - ie., writing a check to the Fed to cover this wonderful $20 a week windfall.

So Brooking says "this is the NFL"... Yes it is kiddo. It's called FOOTBALL! The object of the game is to get that little oval shaped ball through the opponents goal line. That's what you do in the "NFL".

Brooking is a loud mouthed baby. Stop whining Keith. You lost! That's what happens in the "NFL". When the other team scores more points than you; they win. Even if they are winning and they score more points than you, they are doing that to WIN! There is nothing classless in winning.

What's classless is getting mad and acting like a big baby when you lose. Brookings, you are an Ass with no Class!

Mark McGwire admits what we already knew - still who cares?

So Mark McGwire comes clean and admits he used some steroids every now and then. So what? How is this any different than the Hollywood actress that gets breast enhancements? How is this any different than Nancy Pelosi getting another face lift?

We all do what we can to enhance our appearance, our strong points, and our minds when it comes to our jobs. In order to maintain or continue to be desirable in any profession you need to continually educate yourself, or keep up your appearance, or maintain your strength.

I have absolutely no problem with McGwire's use of Steroids, or his unwillingness to admit using them. He along with fellow juicer, Sammy Sosa single handedly revived baseball from a near END over the course of one season. They both deserve credit for that, a place in history and the baseball hall of fame. To me, they are both selfless athletes and performers that helped not only keep the game together, but breathed new life into it, entertaining us when we needed it and pumping us up when we were down.

Next time you see Angelina Jolie's lips, ask yourself what the difference really is when it comes to enhancing one's self artificially?

I wanted to take some time to introduce my most valued readers to a wonderful product that I came across a while back called Go To My PC or
GoToMyPC for short. It allows users to remotely connect with their home and or office computers from anywhere in the world.

This is particularly useful if you need to get information or operate applications that you might not otherwise have immediate access to. Its also a secure way to remotely run your business, check on things at the home front, or, well.. just about anything.

Now, as I understand it, this great product is available for the Mac too! Since I use a Mac, this will prove to be even more useful!

Airport Security - The running joke

So the previous 8 years of Airport security WORKED. What is different now? Hope? Change? I know Obama ran on the platform of hope and change, which was code word for "do the opposite of Bush".

We are now seeing the reality of that hope and change as more and more terrorist attacks occur on and off US soil on a daily basis.

The administrations solutions? Try enemy combatants in US civil and US criminal courts affording them all the rights and protections of a US citizen.

Beef up airport security by implementing even more invasive and useless search tactics. X-Ray Scanners, More patting.

Why not stick to what works? Why not just drop the PC Bullshit and just profile and discriminate? Can our president really be this dense?

Obama dummy hanging from Carter sign?

So here's the story:

"PLAINS, Ga.-- A spokesman for the U.S. Secret Service says the agency is investigating an effigy of President Barack Obama found hanging from a building in the hometown of former President Jimmy Carter.

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan told The Associated Press that the large black doll was found Saturday morning along Main Street in the small town of Plains.

According to footage from WALB-TV, the doll was hanging by a noose in front of a red, white and blue sign that says "Plains, Georgia. Home of Jimmy Carter, our 39th President." A witness told the television station that the doll wore a sign with Obama's name on it.

Donovan said the doll was removed Saturday. He declined further comment.

Sumter County Sheriff's Department officials declined comment, referring all calls to the Secret Service."

The question I have is, unless there was a specific threat, why is the Secret Service investigating an obvious display of free speech?

Of all the places to do this though, in the town where Carter is from. I think this is more than likely nothing more than a vast Left Wing Conspiracy directed at stirring up another race war. What do you think?

Terrorists Continue to Strike, Obama hangs out in Hawaii

I remember how critical everyone was of Bush when he remained calm after being briefed about the first attack on the WTC back on 9/11. Then how they lambasted him for nothing instantly jumping into action.

Now here we site some 8+ years later and our current lax president sits on a beach half a world away sipping margaritas and eating macadamia nuts. Meanwhile terrorists are boarding US bound planes and trying to blow them up.

Obama was not notified until 3 hours after the occurrence. He did nothing. He did not fly home, he did not raise the terror level and he praised security in Amsterdam as being some of the finest on earth.

Lets not forget also that the US was warned not once, but TWICE about this character from Nigeria (Muslim to boot) by his own father no less. But alas, we are lax, and complacent here... we have too many more important issues like socialized health care and bull shit climate change hoaxes to calm.

I wonder what this president will do when something really bad happens? I pray we never had to find out.

Within a week, doctors removed the brain tumor. Evan spent months recovering from the surgery and a tracheotomy that was also performed before he was allowed to come home.

"I just want to be with my family," Evan said.

A tube still pumps food to his stomach and he uses a breathing machine to sleep at night, but the tumor is completely gone, although Evan will still need to get an MRI every six months.

"I am just glad he's alive," Jamie said.

Evan will be home schooled until he catches up with his classmates, and hopes to return to school next fall.

Parking Etiquette

What are the rules of thumb when entering a parking lot and a parking spot? Is it whoever sees it first, or whoever gets it first?

I was pulling into the YMCA parking lot yesterday and I noticed an older lady in the oncoming lane had just turned her signal on. Now I had plenty of time to make the left turn across oncoming traffic before she got to the entrance. I also had my eye on an open spot up front close to the door.

So I decided to be a gentlemen and let the oncoming vehicle (this women) pull in. As she did she cut across the parking lot going the wrong way against the arrows (something that drives me nuts in parking lots) and then whipped around and pulled into my spot just as I was pulling in, driving the proper direction and signaling into that very spot I had my eyes on.

WTF? What gives? Aside from breaking several parking lot rules, driving the wrong way, not signaling, driving too fast, cutting through open spots, etc... see did no return the favor and yield me my spot.

I'm fairly certain she knew I was after that spot. I feel confident she also knew I only meant to yield the entrance to the lot, not the spot too!

Well the left is at it again. They are trying to create a "rift" in the Tea Party by making up a story that there is a "RIFT" amongst the Tea Party. Check it out:

The article's contention is that there are two waring factions amongst the Tea Party. The largest single flaw I see to this claim is the fact that CNN and other Liberal Networks want the world to believe that the Tea Party is an actual Political Party, like the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, etc. The reality is the Tea Party is nothing more than a group of disgruntled citizens displaying their disgust and anger in public like the original Tea Partiers did back in Boston December 16th, 1773.

Colonists got together and destroyed tons of British Tea after the British refused to return the tea to England. The colonists had refused to pay the "Tea Tax" that the British had imposed, and to let the Brits know just how they felt about the Tax they dumped the tea into Boston Harbor.

The were not a political party. They did not have leaders running for office. Like the Tea Party today, they were nothing more than downtrodden citizens attacked by an over zealous and out of control government.

The recall queen and resident slumlord of Lake Geneva Beatrice Dale has finally had her decrepit home raised. The home was located at N2440 Wells St. Lake Geneva, WI. Bloomfield Township. While it appeared in the city limits, it is actually in a tiny little fringe portion of Bloomfield Township that weaves into Lake Geneva proper.

Bea Dale was an Alderman, and on the School Board as Joint No. 1 Board of Education. She's a Mayor of Lake Geneva too.

How on earth someone could let a shit hole like that house remain even after repeated attempts by residents and the Town of Bloomfield taking legal action to have it raised?

iPhone vs. Droid

So I did a little comparison between the two phones to see if the commercials and hype are accurate.

So far here is what I found: (this information could obviously vary or be flawed. Its a culmination of info I got from reviews and talking to people using both. The rest is based on whats on the carriers web sites with regard to their phones)

Both the iPhone and the Droid hold 16GB
Both have about the same talk time and standby time. Droid has like a tiny bit more talk time, iPhone has a tiny bit more standby. I'll call that equal as well.
Both have a camera, but the Droid is 2Megapixels more. However, while you can do video recording with the droid, you cannot do video editing, which you CAN do on the iPhone. Outside of picture quality, this is kinda equal too.
Both have wifi, gps, turn by turn, digital compass.
Both support voice commands.
Both support a wide range of video and audio formats, however hands down the iPhone not only supports them all, it supports the most current versions, while Droid is a version or two behind on the ones it does support.
iPhone has the iStore. Droid has? Well.. a cool name I guess.
Number of Apps for iPhone. almost 100,000. Droid has about 10,000.
Multitasking? Still I've not been able to tell wtf this means or what it is for on a phone. The iPhone does not support it, and the Droid does. Great, so in other words you can watch a video and listen to music at the same time. Cause everyone wants to do that... right.
Price? SAME, with or without contract.
Unlimited usage plans. Price is the same.
Average usage plans. Price is the same.
Both the unlimited and average plan total costs are identical.

So far the only thing I see the droid has that the iPhone does not is Multitasking. Ok, no one has really explained what benefit this is on a cell phone. Unless it means I can listen to Motley Crue and talk to someone on the phone at the same time. But wait, why would I do that?

The only other thing I can see that is advantageous is the network. ATT just flat out SUCKS!!! Droid works on Verizon which they claim is the shit. It sucked when I had it. It was so bad, I would say it was worse than ATT, which is not saying much. Hell it was worse that sprint. I've had EVERY network and EVERY cell phone known to man kind. The most durable was my Nokia. The most reliable were my Motorola IC60 series flips. The most powerful was my moto bag phone. The crappiest were Ericksen. The best network was probably Cell One. Then Nextel before Sprint took them over. I've had US Cellular and Singular (which is really ATT)..

I'd really lick to know what this "multitasking" stuff is all about? One a computer, laptop or a desktop multitasking comes in handy when you have a large screen or multiple screens and multiple apps running. On the phone, I can really only every operate one app at a time anyway, so what difference does it make? Anyway, anything Droid has, you can bet the iPhone will likely already have trumped with a software update or new phone.

It's gonna be a hard sell to get people in the smartphone market to move away from the iPhone given all the things that have drawn them and kept them there are just not there with the Droid. The apps, iTunes, iStore, and of course those of us that use our phones as laptops would be hard pressed to leave.

Outside of the network perhaps being better, the total cost of ownership looks to be the same. Seems to me if Motorola wants to make a dent here, they are gonna have to use price to win people over. Maybe that's just me?

Oil one year ago: $113.00 /barrel
Oil today: $77.00/barrel

Oil today down $36.00/barrel or 47%
Gas today down $.015/gal or 6%

If gas prices were down at the same rate as the price of oil, gas would be $1.28/gal today.

Source? My calculator and oil/gas prices on the open market via the national average as posted online, in the news and on my credit card receipts every time I bend over and take it up the ass at the pumps!
